Friday BBQ

McGrath Ranch & Garden

The McGrath Family has farmed the region for over 100 years, and will host the APCG for a BBQ and Hayride on their farmstead, just miles from the conference hotel, and situated in the middle of a working pumpkin patch.

Enjoy an old-fashioned hay-ride, some excellent local cuisine (Snapper Jack's - killer fish tacos, etc), local beer, local wine, and an enlightening discussion about the future of sustainable farming with Agroecologist Liz Carlisle of UC Santa Barbara

Liz Carlisle - Agroecologist

Highlighting the evening will be a discussion on regenerative farming with Agroecologist Liz Carlisle of nearby UC Santa Barbara

Dr. Carlisle will discuss her latest book, Healing Grounds: Climate, Justice, and the Deep Roots of Regenerative Farming  along with a variety of agricultural topics that are of deep interest in Ventura County - one of the richest farmlands in the world.
