Mr. Burlingame has been playing percussion for over 30 years and teaching for 25 years. He grew up in Webb City where his lifelong love of music began. He pursued a college education at Missouri Western State University where he studied percussion and vocal performance while working toward a degree in music education. Mr. Burlingame taught 14 years with the Park Hill School District befor coming to Antioch Middle School and Oak Park High School 4 years ago. In addition to teaching percussion he runs a robust private studio at Hillside Christian Church where he also serves on the music staff as the church percussionist as well as occasional assitant conductor. He has played locally for many years in jazz settings, multiple seasons with the St. Joseph Symphony, and is an alumnus of the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps from Casper Wyoming.
