For the second time, I made it to the finals. With over 100 registered teams and a time-consuming and nerve-racking selection procedure, the competition was fiercer than the previous year.

The Phoenix represents rebirth - the ability to emerge from the ashes. We, Team Phoenix, proposed developing a waste treatment plant that would be able to provide bio-fuel to street-food shops, which individually consume up to 300 L of LPG on a monthly basis (according to our Rajshahi City survey of more than 50 street food shops), thereby taking a giant step towards carbon neutrality.

We partnered with the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology at the University of Rajshahi and had high hopes for the project's future. Unfortunately, we did not make it as the emerging champion, but the lessons we learned only strengthened us. This was a project that we are still incredibly proud of.

We proposed establishing an Apparels and Crafts Company that solely focuses on empowering women, with the ability to provide more than 10,000 jobs per year by renting their wardrobes as part of a distributed warehouse network, while also establishing a safe and comfortable marketplace for women to shop at their leisure. The concept was critically acclaimed, and the response was overwhelming.
