When I started my Etsy Shop, WordsToGiftBy, I gave myself a crash course on marketing and social media. In the process, I learned a lot about canva and graphic creation. Since then, I used canva to create branding kits and more consistent social media plans at several of my jobs. As I created and learned, this merged into a knowledge of graphics both for use online and in print. I started creating designs for menus and business printables like business cards. Below is snapshot of my past experience and what I can create.
Through GT4 Events and my own brand for my Etsy, I have learned how to create cohesive brand kits and establish brand identities for usage across multiple platforms.
At GT4 Events, I would create menus for the food displays at each of the events we produced as needed. I would create buffet menus, food tags, dietary restriction tents, individul small menus, and more.
I created the GT4 Events logo and helped consult when other logos were being updated. I helped create variations of the logos that look best when printed or used in branded materials.
Using my graphic design and the branding kits I create, I am able to design looks for social media sites to make brand landing pages recognizable and aesthetically pleasing. This consistency in posting and color scheme helps the look of the page but also makes the individual posts more identifiable when consumers are swiping through their own feeds.
This idea is represented best when looking at Instagram but it is applicable to Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok and more. Like in the pictures I use as an example, keeping colors consistent and finding the right vibe for a brand's graphics, it will help with the overall brand kit effectiveness.
