I grew up in San Jose, California with my twin brother and my parents. I lived in the same home until college and had since split my time between Chico and San Jose. My real home is where my family is and I love spending time with them. They help nurture my talents and a lot of my planning skills come from them.
I went to Willow Glen High School where I found some of my best friends but faced a lot of adversity. I loved dancing and found my place in drama teaching choreography for the musicals and performing. I loved English and was a part of leadership and student government. I was constantly busy but they were all things I wanted and worked hard for. Throughout these things I had to deal with bullies, teachers being fired or quitting, medical issues in my family, and several injuries. I did my best and was so excited to move on to Chico State.
Every year, I was in charge of the Class of 2019 float for our homecoming parade. This was our Junior year and we made the Hogwarts Express for our Harry Potter theme
I performed and choreographed in all of the musicals at my High School. I loved creating and performing with my friends.
I was a Girl Scout for 12 years and worked to mentor younger girls throughout my time with the organization.
I took several APs and kept a 4.1 GPA throughout high school. School was really important to me and a lot of my time was spent studying or finishing assignments.
When I got to Chico State, I started as undeclared. Then I found what I loved and choose to major in Recreation, Hospitality, and Parks Management. I am double optioning in event management and resort and lodging management. Also, I am minoring in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Management and completing Honors in General Education.
Outside of Academics, I found Ballroom Dance. I started taking the class offered at the university and became a part of the club. Most of the friends I made in college came from this club and it has led to a lot of my memories. I filled several positions and loved every minute of it.
My father has a comprimised immune system so my family took the pandemic very seriously. Whilst dealing with the isolated downtime, I created my own small business. On Etsy, I started WordsToGiftBy where I sell my handmade gift tags, gift card holders, cards and bookmarks. I learned through experience in how marketing, social media, and creating a small business works.
