Alisa's Angels Scholarship - Applications are due no later than February 1.

The scholarships are in memory of Alisa, who established a legacy of helping and caring for people. The scholarships are awarded to youth who demonstrate the same spirit of caring through service to others.


The Scholarship:

  • Alisa's Angels will award $5000 scholarships to up to 8 graduating seniors who are committed to service to others.

  • $2500 will be available the first year of school. The remainder will be available in following years if student is in good standing. The scholarship funds can only be used for books and tuition, and will be issued directly to the school.

Who is eligible:

  • Graduating high school seniors from Arizona (up to 6 scholarships).

  • Graduating high school seniors from the Colorado Springs, Colorado area (up to 2 scholarships; see note below).

  • The scholarship may be used for any college, university, community college, or qualified trade schools.

Title: Arizona Milk Producers’ Scholarship

Eligibility: Seniors who are Arizona residents and are planning on enrolling full time (12 credits) at ASU, NAU, or UA for fall 2019. Employees and family members of Arizona Milk Producers are not eligible.

Requirements: Students must submit entries on Instagram or website including name, complete address, and telephone number along with a milk mustache photo of yourself (be creative), a paragraph (not to exceed 150 words) on why you drink milk, or why any dairy product is an important part of your daily routine. Make sure a dairy product (milk, cheese, yogurt) is visible in your photo.

Amount: Up to $12,000 towards college expenses, tickets to home football games, VIP tickets to the Fiesta Bowl.

Title: Arizona Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student

Title: New American University Scholarships

· First generation to attend college (neither parent/step-parent, living or deceased, or legal guardian holds a four year degree from any country)

· Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA (weighted or unweighted)

· Minimum combined SAT score of 1040 or composite ACT score of 22 (excluding writing score in both instances)

· Admitted to one of Arizona’s three residential public universities (Arizona State University-Tempe, Northern Arizona University-Flagstaff, University of Arizona-Tucson)

Title: Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program

Eligibility: To be eligible for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

· Senior standing – Plan to graduate from a U.S. high school in spring 2017.

· Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2017.

· GPA – Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above.

· Test Scores – Receive standardized test scores in the top 15%: SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above.

· Income – Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant.

Application: The College Scholarship Program application is available to students only during their senior year. The application opens in September and closes in November. The applications are reviewed December through February, and final notifications are made in mid-March.

Award: This highly competitive scholarship includes:

· Up to $40,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school

· Ability to pursue any area of study

· Personal advising about selecting a college and navigating financial aid

· Multifaceted advising about how to transition to college and maximize the college student experience

Title: AXA Achievement Scholarship

Eligibility: Applicants to the AXA Achievementsm Scholarship must:

· Be United States citizens or legal residents living or claiming residency in one of the 50 united states, Washington, D.C. or Puerto Rico.

· Be current high school seniors who plan to enroll full-time in an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States for the entire academic year.

· Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities.

· Because reducing risk is woven into the fabric of our company, special consideration is given to achievements that empower society to mitigate risk through education and/or action in areas such as financial, environmental, health, safety and/or emergency preparedness.

Amount: The AXA Achievement Scholarship is awarded to 52 students nationwide – one selected from each state, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Each state winner receives a scholarship award of $10,000. Eligibility: To be eligible for consideration as a Davidson Fellow, applicants must:

· Be 18 or younger as of Oct. 1.

· Be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States, or a Permanent Resident of the United States residing in the United States, or be stationed overseas due to active U. S. military duty.

· There is no minimum age for eligibility.

· The Davidson Institute is looking for students whose projects are at, or close to, the college graduate level with a depth of knowledge in their particular area of study. This scholarship is not geared toward students at the novice level.

· Davidson Fellows must be available to attend, with at least one parent or guardian, the awards reception and other recognition events to be held in September in Washington, D.C. (Travel expenses and lodging will be provided by the Institute.)

Project Criteria: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of significant work in the following categories—STEM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics; Humanities—Literature, Music, Philosophy, Outside the Box. Significant work is an accomplishment that experts in the field recognize as meaningful and has the potential to make a positive contribution to society. Such work may be:

· an exceptionally creative application of existing knowledge

· a new idea with high impact

· an innovative solution with broad-range implications

· an important advancement that can be replicated and built upon

ROTC Scholarships

Note: The college or university you are attending must have an ROTC program for you to be able to participate.

See each website for further information. Each of these scholarships requires a large amount of work on your

part. It is advised that you seek the help of a counselor or other qualified adult in completing the requirements

and possibly start as early as your junior year!

Title: Air Force ROTC Scholarship

Eligibility: Seniors who are US citizens (or will be by the start of your first semester at college), will graduate in May, at least 17 years of age within the first semester of the year you will enter college, min. GPA of 3.0 (end of junior year), min. SAT score of 1180 (reading/math) or ACT composite score of at least 26.

Requirements: Complete on-line application including personal statement and interview.

Obligation: Applying for an Air Force ROTC scholarship does not obligate you in any way. As a scholarship recipient though, you obligate yourself when you sign an agreement with the United States Air Force. If you are under legal age in the state where the school is located, your parent or legal guardian signs this agreement. You will agree to:

· Enroll in the academic major in which the scholarship is offered.

· Enlist in the Air Force Reserve and enroll in Air Force ROTC beginning with the 2016 fall term.

· Satisfactorily complete a four-week summer Field TrainingField TrainingFour- or five-week encampment in which cadets receive officership training course at an Air Force base (normally scheduled between your sophomore and junior years).

· Complete the Air Force ROTC Professional Officer CourseProfessional Officer CoursePOC - ROTC course for juniors and seniors.

· Accept a commission as an Air Force officer.

Obligation: For those midshipmen attending college and NROTC on an NROTC Scholarship, the following military service obligations apply:

Navy Option midshipmen (does not include Nurses or Marines) starting their freshman year of college in the Fall of 2010 or later will be required to serve a minimum of five years of active military service. Additional requirements may be required for specific job assignments.

Marine Corps Option midshipmen will be required to serve at least four years on active duty.

Navy Nurse Corps Option midshipmen will be required to serve at least four years on active duty.
