You don't undertake a fellowship of this magnitude without reflecting on it again and again and again in an attempt to figure out how it will play out in your life. As I processed, I produced a small body of work that pertains to one aspect or another of being a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow. Below is a curated list of the public work.
One of the more surprising outcomes, at least to me, was I applied for and was accepted to give a TEDx talk about the expedition but also about being an explorer, per the National Geographic Learning Framework.
My goal was and is to get people to care for the Earth through the gateway of being an explorer.
I was interviewed on a South Dakota Public Broadcasting radio program In The Moment. I was the second story of the day. Listen.
I wrote a lot and I'm still writing. Below are the public pieces. Most of these are a series of essays, some of which were published on the blog of my workplace, the South Dakota Discovery Center. The science center switched website platforms and the blog disappeared for all intents and purposes. Before that happened, I moved the essays to Medium. I also shared a variation on my GLOBE blog.
