Personal

I live in North Adams with my husband Andrew, our very cute and stubborn black lab (Dosi), eight chickens, two rabbits, and a rotating crew of frogs, birds, and bees that like to visit our backyard. When I'm not doing statistics, you can find me hiking, playing viola, building things (e.g., a chicken coop!), and reading.  I was formed in the Christian Reformed Church and am currently a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Williamstown.

My name, Anna Plantinga, is pronounced ann-uh plan-ting-uh (think "planting a tree"), and I use she/her/hers pronouns. (My name and most of my great-grandparents come from Friesland, in the northern part of the Netherlands.)
