Earth Science and Teaching
⋆⑅˚₊My Strengths as a student include being a team player as I am very versatile and am able to efficienclty ommunicate with my classmates and others.
⋆⑅˚₊My strengths as a teacher would include that I am very open to new ideas and procedures. As well as, I want to create an enviroment where students of all different backgrounds will feel comfortable in my classroom and feel able to talk to me if they need to
⋆⑅˚₊I feel most confident in teaching earth science because science has always been my favorite subject thus, I will put my best effort into this class.
⋆⑅˚₊I feel most nervous because I have no experience in teaching especially in front of a huge group of kids.
Personal plans
⋆⑅˚₊My smart goal for this class is that I want to end the semester with gaining the insight and knowledge of both this course and the ungrading system. In order for this to happen I will study by adding new information I learned onto my eportfolio for each lesson plan and stay on top of my work.
⋆⑅˚₊Regardless of this class style, I would like to recieve an A for my work ethic of staying on top of my assignments.
⋆⑅˚₊To meet my goals of an "A" I must take atleast upwards to 6 hours a week of dedicating my time into studying and creating my slides for my eportfolio . This includes getting help from my professor and classmates,
Un-grading
⋆⑅˚₊To be quiet honest, im exttremley nervous of the ungrading system. This is my first time in a class where, for the most part, no grade or points are being given. Im excited to see how this plays out as ive alwasy been curious of these classes but am nervous becuase I do not want to take advantage of it. For the first time, lonly earning for my own sake rather than for a grade is at play
