^ This picture was very hard to capture but it encompasses the majestic and beauty of this bird. Although it looks small in this picture, this bird has a wingspan of at least one foot. This bird was circling a certain area which usually indicated that there is a deceased animal close by that it is going to scavenge when the time is right.
^ The mood and sounds in this picture are very clear; the croaking of these frogs was ear-piercing, overthrowing any other wildlife noises within the area. An approximate count of the frogs is in the hundreds as they were all packed into less than 20 meters of water. Many of the frogs had companions next to them but as can be seen in the picture, there are some that do not have partners, not unlike societal norms. This frog in the center of the photo is one of the unlucky frogs that have not yet found its mate, although there is plenty of time for it to still do so.
^ An Eastern Chipmunk takes is place on top of a garden statue and begins to chirp for a mate.
^ This is a suburban Eastern Chipmunk enjoying a morning feast of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit.
^ The squirrel eats peacefully while maintaining a safe distance so that he would not be disturbed.
^ Somewhere along the Oak Ridges Moraine, these ducks swim peacefully while thriving in their habitat. The one on the right is quick to try and feed while the other keeps watch in case a larger bird tries to come by and take its prey.
^ Taken in the Austrian Alps, a mother and her lamb settle in on an open patch of grass to rest.
^ There were groups of undisturbed canine tracks that were imprinted on the path. The paw prints were larger than an average dog which leads me to believe that there was a pack of assumably, coywolves, a common mix of coyote and wolf popular in the Greater Toronto Area. They were likely canvassing the area looking for something to snack on during the night. This print was among a group of them leading into the forestry close by to the nature area even though there are people that travel in the proximity.
^ This goose is far away in a little marsh area to which she is protecting its eggs from predators and other environmental threats. Usually, this area is devastated by water levels in the coming months of summer which causes her to protect her family at any cost necessary. The mother sacrifices the beautiful weather to perform her duties as a parent.
^ Another member of the ecosystem, this bird is leaving the area, possibly to find a new home, possibly to gather food for its family. This bird’s majestic flight sequence provides the illusion of life and freedom while also being on the lookout for their next spot.
^ While walking along the edge of Major Hill Park in Ottawa, there happened to be a beaver that was swimming from side to side, ignoring the people sitting along the bank of the Rideau. As it can be seen, the beautiful sunset is causing a picture-perfect reflection of the Gatineau landscape.
