1st Days of animal STudies were held from November 13 to 16, 2018. The first three days were held at the Marko Marulić City Library in Split, and the last day was held at the Josip Pupačić Elementary School in Omiš and the Zona Club in Split.
The program publication of the 1st Days of animal STudies is much more modest than future ones. Therefore, this publication is only a prospectus in which the program of special activities of this manifestation is briefly described. The project started quite modestly. The plan was to limit it only to the local stimulation of bioethical sensibility, primarily by engaging Nikola Visković, a renowned scientist from Split who devised the concept of cultural zoology (similar to animal studies). The 1st Days of animal STudies began with a well-attended conversation with him. The event was held entirely in the Croatian language, and the activities included: conversation, lectures, film projection with commentary, a children's workshop, and a round table.
