A handheld radio signaller

One day I was bored, and had an idea about making a small handheld transmitter which could be used in conjunction with a separate receiver, like one of my Tecsun's. The rear panel has two 3.5mm jack sockets for antenna input and switching from TX to RX. The front panel has just a push button switch to key the transmitter. It runs from a 9v battery and outputs about 200mw into a 50 Ohm load. Through the case holes you can see a crude LED RF monitor, and an ATU adjustment (variable capacitor).

The circuit diagram (I used a 10Mhz band xtal). Also click on the video to hear it work, The circuit shows L1,C2,C3 for the 7MHZ band LPF only, obviously you need to alter the values accordingly depending upon the frequency band used. RFC1 can be a 1mh choke.
