The Ancaster Mallowan Collection also resides in the village. This collection is made up of a number of artefacts that once belonged to Sir Max & Barbara Parker Mallowan. The collection includes Sir Max Mallowan's (Agatha Christie's second husband) site notes from his digs in Syria in the 1930s. Also, some beautiful lantern slides from Sir Leonard Woolley's excavations at Ur in Iraq.
