This course takes place in the discipline English for Marketing and Advertising as a part of on-the-job training.
The development of the communicative competence in adult learners in the marketing sphere
· Familiarization with professional podcasts, which act as an additional means of providing language material
· Study of the following topics: communication, international marketing and building relationships in business sphere
· Development of communication skills and ability to work in a team to complete projects, making use of brainstorming, networking, communication breakdown techniques

The students can demonstrate a skill of dealing with communication breakdowns, apply idioms to hold a conversation about successful presentations, etc.
The students can organize brainstorming activity as a powerful cognitive strategy, working as a team. Students practise brainstorming to complete communicative tasks. They develop networking skills, which are the abilities and competencies that help students build relationships, etc.
The students can describe a bad conversationalist and practise techniques to be more effective when making presentations. They learn about types of relationships and acquiring knowledge about approaches to establishing business relationships. They can produce noun compounds, multi-word verbs related to marketing when talking about building relationships and networking.
The students can express their opinion on types of business communication. They can critique bad presentations, discuss cultural differences when establishing relationships, promote global marketing.
