I have been teaching ESL (English as a Second Language), for the last three years. I have started to implement more technological resources in my classroom throughout my professional journey, but one platform I have seemed to enjoy using recently has been Kahoot!. A few work and school colleagues at UBC recommended it to me. I have been able to build creative learning experiences for my students on Kahoot! that cater towards their learning needs. The reason why I am writing my analysis report on this platform is because I feel that Kahoot! can offer me and my students more through its offered resources, and I am curious to learn about the growth of this platform and if it is worth it for teachers to invest their hard-earned money into the subscriptions and learning resources they offer. The picture above is from one of the Kahoots I have made for my students on the basic (free) version. I created a multiple choice questionnaire about the different seasons for my Grade 6 students. The goal of this Kahoot was for students to apply what they have learned in this unit by linking the correct season with the seasonal action.
