The Mandela Catalogue is the most popular analog horror series to date, with its use of issued warnings against the fictional threats of the series, the Alternates, and the use of religion to both write the story of Mandela Catalogue, and also in its scares, the story has gained the attention of millions.

The story begins with the God coming and speaking to the Shepherds saying that Christ has been born, then switching to an angel with a redacted name posing as the angel Gabriel speaking with Mary, this angel most likely being Lucifer, tells Mary in Binary that he is the true lord and he will correct the mistake with Joseph next, later we see the entity posing as god speaking to the sleeping Joseph through a window while he sleeps. While this makes little sense at the time it will come into play later. The video then cuts to an image of the Faceless God, who then says "Can't you see, I decieved them, such simple minds" where then after supposedly the shepherds are speaking, who then say "I am bound to chains on my ankles, that grow heavier with each step, the infinite amount of sand will be my tomb, and my foolishness will be my legacy, if there is a god please help me.". This introduces the series, a universe whos difference from our own seems to be the shepherds, Mary, and Joseph, were tricked by either Lucifer, or the Anti-Christ, spelling out the plot in the modern times in later episodes.

The main entity in play during this series has been the existence of Alternates. Copies of humans that either look exactly like an existing person, have disproportionate limbs, or an unnamed kind that seems to be the Faceless God who spoke in the introduction. Something is also shown to be at play when a video explaining what to do when encountering an Alternate is shown, and to engage in the THINK protocol (which is similar to Local 58's Contingency with the 3F's) T - Tell an authority H - Hinder its movement I - Identify its type N - Neutralize and finally K - Kill yourself, there's not enough room for the two of us. The final letter seemingly being edited and interfered with by an outside influence. Later we are introduced to the concept of being told "unwanted information" that will make the recipient kill themselves 98% of the time. Which would explain what happened with Joseph in his sleep, which connects the Faceless God with the Alternates. Later we are told that the police are instructed not to help anyone who encounters an alternate because nothing is worth the price and that when talking with someone on the phone through a 911 call, you cannot show emotion because they will know your fears.

At the end of the most recent episode, we once again see the Faceless God, they state that they have punished Noah, and that he will bring another creature on the boat. They then say they have placed something into his mind that he will not be aware of until it's too late. After it's finished, only in the subtitles do we see the text: "2 Corinthians 11:14 "And no wonder! For Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." Further confirming that the entity is Satan.
