The 3 mentioned series all expand off of one another, Local 58 as the precursor to it all. Local 58 set the standard for what Analog Horror as a genre was to be, and all series after simply expanded off of it and made it their own. Local 58 was simple and had very little in the ways of plot, later inspiring both GHI and the Mandela Catalogue. GHI took what Local 58 had and greatly expanded on it, by using different forms of news such as nature broadcasts and even an entire video game based off of an episode, and a thick and expanded plot. While Mandela Catalogue took both of them and combined them, although much more focused than GHI, it has a much more straightforward plot line than the other two and has brought religion into the mix to explain its story. With all of these ideas being built upon its predecessor, this very new genre of horror has a lot to look forward to with its future.
