EDP Renováveis: Monitoring (performance) of EDP Renewables Wind Farms (2016 -21)
This project/contract aims to analyze in detail the operating data of EDP-R Wind Farms (PEs), in order to monitor their operation and identify a possible strategic use of wind farms (PEs) to obtain benefits through distortion of competition, in particular in case of immobilization (total, partial or production reduction) due to human intervention, not automatically triggered by the system and resulting from EDP-R behavior, and which cannot be justified for reasons of maintenance, technical reason or cause of force-force.
This project focused on a first phase of fifty-two PEs in a total of 1349 MVA of installed power. Currently, fifty-five PEs are systematically analyzed for a total of 1441 MVA of installed power.
To carry out this work, methodologies were developed that took into account: (i) international standards, e.g., IEC 61400-12-1, IEC 61400-26-1 and IEC 61400-26-2 (where applicable) and good wind industry practices; and (ii) the information required by the Competition Authority, the entity responsible for monitoring the contract.

During the years 2007 and 2008, several consultancy and technical-scientific assistance work was developed with INETI (technical-scientific coordination of A. Estanqueiro) to evaluate the wind potential and estimate the energy production of wind farms in the Beira Interior region, and Algarve About sixty-five (65) anemometric stations have been installed to date by INETI (including location, equipment selection and calibration, installation support and operation), evaluated 17 wind farms (with capacity from 3 to 120 MW) under twenty-one (21) AT&T contracts, initiated in 2000, and renewed by the company each calendar year. A. Estanqueiro, as a representative of INETI/LNEG with GENERG, has acted as technical-scientific consultant of this company in the field of the use of wind energy, from the regulatory side to the development of methodologies for evaluating the performance of wind farms. GRUPO ENERSIS S A/Iberwind
The professional relationship with the largest national renewable energy group - ENERSIS (ENERSIS SA, PESL, Lda, PESM, Lda, Enerflora among other companies) began at the end of the 1990s with services that later gave rise to several contracts. Subsequently, the scope of the work was extended to the evaluation of the energy potential for several wind farms, among which is the Candeeiros Wind Farm – the largest park in Portugal at the time of construction, equipped with the largest wind turbines for installation on land and the only one ever installed in Portugal within a Natural Park, project for these facts, of particular reference (AT&T contract).
In the Period term 2007-2009, several consultancy and technical-scientific assistance were carried out to characterize the wind potential and support the project of parks such as PE Serra de Bornes, PE Serra da Freita among others. The contract for the evaluation of the Serra do Açor Wind System with a projected capacity of 150 MW, extendable to 250 MW, which has been under project and evaluation for several years, was also completed, the result of its large size.
Studies and evaluations with ENERSIS include the processing and quality control of various stations operated by this company and approximately twenty (20) stations operated by INETI. (2007-09)

No ano de 2009 foram efectuados para a Tecneira trabalhos de avaliação do potencial eólico e estimativa de produção energética de parques eólicos a instalar no Brasil, com optimização do micro-posicionamento de turbinas. In this Period year time, some of the work resulting from a service contract with Tecneira was completed. In 2004, a service contract was concluded with the company ENERBRasil regarding the certification of wind data from 8 anemometric stations in operation in the territory of Brazil (Caetité, Fogo, Gameleira, Guamaré, Macambira, Mel, Pititinga and Potion) with a view to the company's participation in a tender for the allocation of power to connect wind farms. In addition to the certification of wind data, the energy production estimates of 8 Wind Farms to be installed at the measurement sites of the anaemometric stations mentioned were also validated. In 2004, a service contract was concluded with cataventos do Brasil regarding the certification of wind data from 3 anemometric stations in operation in the territory of Brazil (Beberibe, Paracuru and Ubajara) with a view to the company's participation in a tender for the assignment of power to connect wind farms. In addition to the certification of wind data, the estimates of energy production of 3 Wind Farms to be installed at the measurement sites of the referred anemometric stations were also validated, as well as the simulation of the energy-optimised micropositioning of the turbines on the land available for the installation of the PEs. GRUPO ENERSIS S A
The professional relationship with the largest national renewable energy group - ENERSIS (ENERSIS SA, PESL, Lda, PESM, Lda, Enerduero Zamoreana among other companies) began in 1999/2000 with a provision of services, in the evaluation of wind potential and production estimate of seven (7) sites monitored by this company in the western region (mainly in the municipality of Mafra). Subsequently, the scope of the work extended to the evaluation of the performance of the wind farms of Serra do Larouco and Lomba da Seixa (AT&T contract). Subsequently, several consulting contracts and technical-scientific assistance were signed to characterize the wind potential and support the project of parks such as PE de Monte da Lua, PE de Candeiros, PE da Nazaré, PE da Serra da Lousã, PE Serra de Bornes, PE Serra da Freita among others.
The contracts that have been contracted are the evaluation of the Serra do Açor Wind System with a projected capacity of 150 MW, extendable to 250 MW at the time, the largest in wind project in Portugal and that of Serra de Ronda, Spain, which, along with the services for the northeastern region of Brazil illustrate the beginning of the process of internationalization of ineti's wind energy activities.
