"Flurry may look ready for the holidays, but her snowflakes actually give us something more valuable than a festive story—they give us evidence. Her white body is covered with colorful snowflake motifs, strongly suggesting a winter or holiday-inspired design. We still don't know exactly when Bath & Body Works sold her, what the company called her, or whether she belonged to a formally identified holiday collection. Until contemporary evidence answers those questions, Flurry preserves an important clue to how seasonal imagery appeared among Bath & Body Works' remarkably varied rubber ducks."

Every duck has a story...
"Some ducks remind us of a place. Flurry makes me think of a season. Her colorful snowflakes immediately bring winter to mind—but they also remind me why museum research means looking beyond the obvious. We can see the snowflakes. We can document them. But figuring out exactly when and why Bath & Body Works put them on this duck is another question entirely. Sometimes a snowflake isn't just decoration. Sometimes it's a clue."
