Expectations

OB Clinic or Pharmacy Clinics

1. Arrival at 8 AM or 1 PM (or as stated on calendar)

2.  Working up patients (split patients up if working with another student)

   1. For OB clinic change location to OB/GYN specialists, caregiver: Rebecca Austin, PharmD

   2. For Biltmore clinic change location to Biltmore Family Medicine, caregiver: Rebecca Austin, PharmD

   3. First week, shadowing

   4. Second week, working up 3-4 patients

   5. Third and Fourth week, working up all patients

3. Plan to present these to preceptor prior to start of clinic and see these patients during clinic

4. Documentation-you will be expected to help document patient encounters

Consulting

1.  Arrival at 8:30 AM

2. Will be helping answer questions that come up in consulting or working on questions in FM Pharmacy inbox

FM Pharmacy Student Inbox

1. You will be assigned some time to cover this inbox which means checking daily and answering drug info questions

2. Please send answers back to preceptor to review before sending to other providers

Project time

1. Work up patients for clinic

2. Working on journal club or topic discussion

3. Answering questions in student inbox

4. Projects

5. Following up with patients
