Attendance & Cancellation Policy
Group Classes
Group classes are offered as a package of 10 lessons. By enrolling, students are purchasing the full course package, regardless of individual attendance.
When we reach the minimum number to run a class, you will be advised on how to complete the fee payment. A seat in the course is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment.
Once group classes have started, the package is non-refundable, and missed classes cannot be refunded or credited.
Because group classes follow a fixed schedule, make-up lessons are not offered for individual absences.
If enrollment falls below the minimum required number at any point before the course begins, the instructor may choose to postpone, cancel, or continue the course. Registered students will be notified immediately.
If a group class is cancelled in full by the teacher (for example, due to illness, travel, or unforeseen circumstances), the missed lesson will be added at the end of the course cycle.
Private Lessons
For private and semi-private lessons, we usually agree on a regular weekly time and try to maintain that schedule. This helps create continuity and commitment for both of us.
The lesson fee is paid on the same day before class starts, via Venmo or PayPal.
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please give at least 24 hours’ notice.
Late cancellations
For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, starting from the second occurrence, a $35 late cancellation fee applies, even if the lesson does not take place.Illness and emergencies
Of course, in the case of illness or unforeseen emergencies, the late cancellation fee will not be applied. I simply ask that you let me know as soon as possible. These situations are handled with trust and common sense.Make-up lessons
When a lesson is cancelled with sufficient notice, I’m happy to try to arrange a make-up lesson within the same week, when my schedule allows. Make-up lessons are subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
