Our small group online Italian classes, designed for 5-10 students, meet once a week and provide a fun, interactive learning experience. Perfect for beginners, and with an emphasis on communication in travel situations,  these two courses  cover essential basic skills. 

Group classes are designed for collaborative learning and benefit from group dynamics; they are not equivalent to private or semi-private instruction. For those who prefer a more personalized approach, one-on-one lessons may be a better fit.

• Level - beginners to elementary

• Duration:  10 one-hour classes for each level (30 classes total for both Beginners 1, 2 and 3)

• Class size:  5-10 students

• Format:  Live on Zoom, 1-hour class each week Online attendance with camera on required

• Option to join one, two or all the three sessions

Topics Covered:

• Italian pronunciation and Alphabet

• Basic conversations and vocabulary for travel situations, including:

  • Greetings 

  • Introducing yourself and your family

  • Ordering at a bar or restaurant

  • Describing a house and daily routines

  • Asking for directions and shopping

  • Describing the cities you visit

  • Speaking about your vacation

  • At the train station

  • Questions and answers in basic conversations

GRAMMAR (fundamental elements of the basic sentence)

• Gender and number of nouns and adjectives

• Articles

• Present tense of high frequency verbs (are, ere, ire)

• Prepositions

• Question Words

• Prepositions

• Possessives

• Past tense

• Reflexive Verbs

• Modal Verbs

• High Frequency Irregular Verbs

Materials:

Handouts provided for Beginners 1, 2 and 3 (no textbook required for these levels).

Students can choose to enjoy either 1,  2, or all 3 courses (10 +10 +10 sessions ).

After completing these introductory courses, students who wish to continue their Italian journey can move on to a Continuing Italian Course, where you'll reinforce and expand your grammar, vocabulary, and conversation skills. This progression helps you build confidence and practical language abilities for real-life situations.
