Italian Institute of Technology- Center for Nano Science and Technology (IIT-CNST)

Italian Institute of Technology - Center for Nano Science and Technology – Milan, Italy

IIT-CNST is a fully committed and is one node of the network established by IIT to foster synergy in national research. CNST has a focus on material science, and it is able to conduct the complete production line, from conceiving and realizing a new material to its application in devices (solar cells, transistors and circuits), through a comprehensive characterization. The Milan site will be led by Dr. Mario Caironi. He is the Principal Investigator of the Printed and Molecular Electronics research line.

CNST is equipped with instrumentation for optical and electrical characterization of materials, device fabrication, chemical synthesis, protein design and characterization. The equipment is located in a lab inclusive of Femtolab: laser micro-machining; Transient Absorption (TA) Spectroscopy; Solar cell characterization; Flexography; Wet lab; and Biochemistry lab.
