BIOMEDICINE ALUMNI SHARING SESSION 2022

The Second Biomedicine Alumni Sharing Session was held by the Biomedicine Society, School of Health Sciences, on 30 April 2022 via Cisco Webex online meeting. The aim of this session was to provide the undergraduates with a clear and better understanding of the path they might choose in the future and identify the best choice for them after their study, either to continue pursuing higher degree in a specialised field or straight to work. The guest speakers invited were Mr. Muhammad Syahir Hakimi bin Mohd Hazli and Ms. Ooi Mei Xuan. Mr. Muhammad Syahir, a graduate research assistant, is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy in the specialization of Molecular Biology; while Ms. Mei Xuan is working as a medical lab technologist in molecular biology. Both of the respective alumni gave a sharing about their life journeys, listed the pros and cons of each path and also challenges and a way to deal with them. The moderator of the session was Mr. Nimallan A/L Ahrasan, Year 2 Biomedicine student while Ms. Auji binti Abdul Azhar, Year 3 Biomedicine student was the program director.
