My broad research agenda when I started out my independent research as new faculty at NIT Calicut  in 2018 was

1. Building an Urban Database for India  founded on  SHRUG dataset( Socioeconomic High-resolution Rural-Urban Geographic Dataset for India https://doi.org/10.7910/DVN/DPESAK, Harvard Dataverse)

2. Furthering spatial economic research on India by investigating economic and policy questions exploiting the emergence of novel Remote Sensing datasets and open source GIS/python possibilities

3. Building database capabilities in institute for firm  level research on Indian firms using secondary databases and  compiling  qualitative research on new business models and Indian entrepreneurship space

I have built a database in the same lines of SHRUG and did some exploratory work in Health and Environmental Policy based on that.

Today I have built simultaneously some research and trying to contribute to the research and thinking  about  new generation Business Models adopted by Entrepreneurs especially Digital Platforms  and some interest galvanizing about the role of Business Model Innovation in Venture Creation and Survival in new Urban Indian start-ups and innovative firms,
