Feathered Friends: Test bird identification skills, bird science knowledge, and field guide comprehension. (Grades 2 - 5) Team Size: 1-2 participants per grade

Mystery Architecture: Build the tallest free-standing tower to hold a tennis ball. (Grades 2 - 5) Team Size: 1-2 participants per grade

Pasta Bridges: *New 2025* Build a bridge using the materials supplied to support a cup in the middle of the bridge. (Grades 2 & 3) Team Size: 1-2 participants per grade
Pentathlon: Combine physical skills with math questions in an obstacle course/relay race event. (Grades 2 - 5) Team Size: 5 participants per grade
Photon Phun: *New 2025* Use mirrors to aim a light beam at stationary targets in a darkened room. Teams will also answer written questions on the behavior and properties of light.(Grades 4 & 5) Team Size: 2-3 participants per grade
Potions: Answer questions about basic chemistry concepts and conduct simple experiments. (Grades 4 & 5) Team Size: 1-2 participants per grade
Read It/Build It: Follow instructions to build a "picture" from given objects. (Grades 2 & 3) Team Size: 1-2 participants per grade

The Plot Thickens: Working with data is fundamental to being a scientist. In The Plot Thickens students will be asked to analyze, interpret, and create visualizations of data. (Grades 4 & 5) Team Size: 1-2 participants per grade
Zip-It: Construct a cable car to safely carry a ping-pong ball down a zip line. (Grades 2 - 5) Team Size: 1-3 participants per grade
*There is one team per grade participating in each event. For example, if an event has a team size of 2 and is open to Grades 2-5, it means there will be four teams, each consisting of two participants, representing Grades 2, 3, 4, and 5.
