Social Studies

Social Studies can be a tough content area to grasp when learning strictly out of a book. Students need unique experiences to in order to best relate to, understand, and apply their knowledge on the content presented in this area. Social studies can be transformed by purposeful technology integration into the curriculum for interactive and creative learning such as bringing primary sources into the classrooms, allowing access to archival information, and using interactive maps to visualize trends or patterns. Below you will find a few ways technology can be incorporated to support transformative learning, while still aligning to CCSS.
