Look no further. Hopefully you will find an answer to your questions about which to take and when!
Starting with the PSAT in 10th and 11th grade, and finishing with SAT in 11th and 12th grade, these are the most commonly accepted exams among all colleges. Students should first register at www.collegeboard.com for an account. PSAT's are taken with the school and are mandatory, but SAT's are taken by the individual. Check here for SAT reasoning dates.
Many private and elite universities require or recommend that students take at least 2 SAT subject tests. Check this website to get a list of these institutes. Again, students should register for SAT Subject tests at www.collegeboard.com. Subject tests can be taken as early as 10th grade. Some colleges accept the ACT in lieu of both SAT reasoning and SAT subject tests!
The following table shows a recommendation for which test to take when. If you have any questions, feel free to contact collegecounselor@darussalaam.org. Dates in bold are highly encouraged.
