Goodnight Scholars Program

The Goodnight Scholars Program is a scholarship program dedicated to paying it forward. Through the generosity of Dr. Jim and Ann Goodnight, North Carolina STEM students are given the opportunity to attend NC State and be prepared to become leaders in their respective fields.

This program has allowed me to grow academically, professionally, and socially. I feel empowered to helping out my community and will continue paying it forward!

My second year at NC State, I was given the opportunity to serve my community as a Goodnight Ambassador. Within this role, I spoke about scholarship opportunities and encouraged students to apply as well as led community events within the program.

As an ambassador, I also had the honor of presenting the scholarship award to an incoming student at their high school awards ceremony.

My fourth year, I had the opportunity to serve as a mentor to two freshman students. I served as a resource and as a guide for their first semester at NC State.

This opportunity allowed me to grow as a leader and helped me build strong connections with younger students.
