Graduate Consulting Projects

Putting the skills to work

Each semester, the MMB Program allows us to gain meaningful experience through group projects. We are placed in teams of 4-6 and are tasked with a problem that we work on together.

Additionally, I was part of an extra project each semester starting in the spring of 2020 with Consult Your Community.

Findings are presented as a final presentation.

Fall 2019

In the fall of 2019, I worked on a short term project dealing with a novel anticoagulant and a semester long project as a group of consultants for a large CDMO looking to expand into the Chinese market

This was my first semester being part of these graduate student consulting projects.

Spring 2020

In the spring of 2020, I had the opportunity to work on even more projects. My team helped identify market potential for a synthetic platelet technology and helped market a screening tool for sepsis.

This semester I also joined Consult Your Community—a student run organization that provides Pro-Bono consulting to small businesses. My first project was to help the BWEL Foundation grow its volunteer base!

The COVID-19 pandemic began halfway through this semester but my teams were able to navigate the rough waters and deliver the same level of excellence to our project sponsors.

Fall 2020

In the fall of 2020, I served as an Engagement Manager within Consult Your Community where we developed tools to help bolster a social media marketing campaign for Herbal Healing.

The short term project with my capstone course dealt with Platelet Derived Therapeutic Peptides. We then worked on a semester long project looking into Sustainable Aviation Fuels.

This semester marked the last of my pro-bono graduate consulting projects. My spring capstone course revolves around entrepreneurship and original business ideas.
