The second idea was already looking much better and much more practical. Through some discussion, we concluded that a screw-like system would be much better for adjusting height and efficiency. We also felt not only would a round table top be much easier to turn but it will allow for a larger working space.
Our final product would be a combination of these three images. The base from the first and the round tabletop from the second and third. This model came a long way from our first outlandish one. Through this process I would say as a group and definitely personally, I have learned that less can sometimes be more. Originally we wanted all these cool features but, it just wasn't practical or effective. We also learned that materials even though separately are priced low add up to be a lot. Something we would hope to continue to improve is the cost as well as the aesthetics since it is fairly simple and plain, although some people may enjoy that look.
