This class I was very interested in everything we discussed, especially since 90% of it was about processing wood and I really enjoy woodworking. Something I found interesting that we talked about during our synchronous class was how you feel trees don't exactly belong in the renewable column. While part of me wants to agree, I feel like it is the same as wool. Wool needs to grow back as well it just does so at a much faster rate. I also feel since if we were to leave the trees alone, they would naturally replenish, they should be considered renewable. Something else I found intriguing was mining, the use of seismic waves, and the different methods of tunneling. I knew there was probably more to mining than just randomly digging and looking for ore but, in all honesty I didn't know that there is different ways to dig based on where the ore is located. I find it very interesting and wonder how they came to find out which method is best based on the position of the ore.
There wasn't really anything I found confusing this class except for maybe how to distinguish coke, tacomite, and sintered. I know the differences between the three I just don't know how to remember which is which.
