I started making films in my 7th grade Video Production class. I had spent a lot of my youth on Hollywood sets as my entire family is in the film business, but I had never considered joining the business myself.
In my early early years (4-8 years old) I worked as a child actor, starring in several random commercials as well as a made for TV movie (The Dollanger Saga), A Hollywood picture (Suburbicon) and a nickelodeon show (Sam & Cat). Though I had some minor success, I did not enjoy the work and did not see a future for myself in acting.
All of a sudden when we were assigned to make a horror movie in our class, I found myself in love with the art. I automatically took control of the whole production (4 friends and I) and loved every moment behind the camera. The movie turned out terrible, of course, however the love and passion was there.
My passion laid idle over the COVID-19 pandemic, however upon a new film teacher coming to my school and creating the first Buckley School Film Festival, my passion sparked up once again. Sure enough, this brought the first short film that I'm proud to display, "One Time, a Mime Witnessed a Crime", a movie I made entirely on my lonesome - writing, directing, editing, and even acting in it as all four characters.
Since then I have made at least one short film per year, and my passion grows deeper every day.
