The black and white information of a human brain MRI is used as a displacement map to create topography - a cerebral island, complete with landscape texture, ocean and passing clouds. 

A virtual camera pointing outwards is placed in the center of the island. It creates a 12 part panoramic view, turned into simulated ink drawings by a contour filter.
