Divulgation

I think it is essential that people know the importance of science and especially the relevance of mathematics in daily life.

I also know the enormous difficulty that the replacement generation of my country, Venezuela, is having to continue their undergraduate and graduate studies and be competitive in the work environment.

I believe that the divulgation of scientific work in our countries can contribute to solving these problems. Some projects and initiatives to help promote mathematical work can be found on this page:

Seminario Azevedo Castro 83

I participate as co-organizer with my fellows Sebastián Herrera, Fabricio Valencia and Juan Luís Fuentes Maguiña.

The Azevedo Castro 83 seminar is an initiative of my friend Sebastián Herrera in response to this pandemic times when the spaces and seminars were closed and the necessity of sharing and discussing mathematics in a safe place just increases.

It is an excellent space for scientific exchange where students from the most diverse areas of mathematics and physics can share their work and their interests. We meet once a week or twice a month. The cultural diversity of the people attending the seminar is wide and rich since, for instance, we have had participants coming from several countries such as Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, Venezuela, and Vietnam. All this has made our seminar a pleasant place with a friendly atmosphere where we train our communication skills by promoting academic discussions and by exchanging our scientific knowledge.
