I've always made music. I attended the Conservatoire de Musique, in Biarritz, (Section Solfège, i.e. Music Theory) when I was a child. I can read and write music.
I took guitar and accordion lessons when I was a teen. For several years. I played in a traditional Portuguese band.
I 've written and produced music using editors such as Ableton Live, Garage Band, Native Instrument's Kontakt, since 2011, or so.
I've lost a significant amount of finger mobility, for medical reasons, which has limited my ability to play. But not my ability to write songs. Since 2022, Artificial Intelligence tools, have made fast progress. Since 2024, I've used AI (Suno, Udio, ChatGPT) to write and produce music.
Here is some of my music. I publish it under the name of Alistair FARRELL, Excalibur Records.

This is an album about the sea. I attempted to create songs in many different styles, trying to match each style with a language and culture.
Ezilwandle Zethu: A song in Zulu, a bantu language spoken in South Africa.
The Tide Will Rise, the Tide Will Fall: a sea shanty, in English.
Umi Yo: a song about fishermen, in Japanese.
Biarritzeko Gizonak: (Men of Biarritz). A song about the whale hunters of Biarritz, my hometown, in the Basque Country, southwest of France.
Le Coeur Marin: a sea shanty of Breton inspiration, in French.
U Mare è i Marinari: a song in Corsican.
Os Ventos Do Mar: A song about Portuguese discoverers like Vasco Da Gama, or Fernando De Magalhaes.
Te Moana Aroha: A song in Maori language.
People of the Ocean: A song in English.
Pull On The Oars: A song (in English) of Viking inspiration.
This is an album about the most powerful emotion, love.
Regarde-moi: This is a song about a thing that's been going on forever between my wife and I: I keep checking out her ass and boobs, whenever I can. Although she frowns at it, I know she loves it.
どこにいるの? (Doko ni iru no?): a song (in Japanese) about a young man who falls in love, at first sight with a young woman, in a train station. The following days, he roams the trains and the stations in hop to find her
Only a friend: a song about a man who is secretly in love ith his best friend. I won't tell her, though, because he's afraid of losing her friendship is she does not feel the same.
Broken Pieces: a song about a woman who feels shattered after losing someone dear to her heart.
Good Bye Kitty: A song of grief about my cat, who passed away.
Pas Déconstruit: A song, in French, about a woman who likes her men, when they're... men.
Tinkerbell is a virtual artist. She makes songs about everyday life. She's cheeky, and the lyrics are often humorous, sarcastic, full of irony or second-degree.
Pas déconstruit: A song about woke/self-declared feminists, who want men to be more like women, who deem masculinity "toxic". Well some women like men the way they are... manly.
Regarde-moi: A song about the "game" between a wife and her husband : he keeps checking her out, and she keeps pretending she's offended, when in reality, if she stopped, she'd be sad.
Un signe, au matin: A song about being ready for what life has in store. Life is full of opportunities.
T'es Pas Tony Montana: A song about young men who talk and talk, fantasise themselves as self-made men, but never get to actually do things. Get a grip, pick yourself up, and go do things. Work hard, it always pays!
Sinful is a heavy metal band. This is their first album.
I aim And Pull: This is a song about an army marksman (sniper). At first it seems like he has no second thoughts about doing what he does, but the end of the song reveals how sullied he feels inside. Taking a life leaves you covered in "something" which other humans then sense.
Wolf in the Night: A song inspired by the story of one of the characters in the movie All Your Faces (Je verrai Toujours Vos Visages), by Jeanne Herry, a young woman who was raped by her older step brother as a child. In the movie she seeks peace of mind through restorative justice. To me, young children are like the light that keeps this world from suffocating in darkness, and people who harm them make me very, very angry. The film shook my mind and I tried to imagine the feelings of utter angst the little child must have felt. This song was a way to get it out of my head.
Kids These Days: A song about the feeling of incomprehension experiences by many older folk who don't understand why younger people misbehave in such horrible ways. But also about the fact hat a society gets the youth it deserves. In other words, we are responsible for the misbehavior of our youth. What do we teach them?
You're a Fraud: a song about a person who is a cheat, an impostor who thinks she is fooling people, when in reality, people are not blind.
This is a tribute album, in which I wrote songs about the epic story of the discovery of the One Ring by Bilbo Baggins, and the adventures that followed.
Gold And Silver: a song about the Dwarves and their love for riches.
Under the Mountain: a song about the Kingdom of Erebor, under the Mountain.
You Shall not Pass!: a song about Gandalf's sacrifice.
Adventure Calls!: A song about a hobbit who found himself signing a contract as a burglar to join a company of Dwarves.
Rivendell: A song about the peaceful kingdom of the Elves.
