My reading process throughout the year has changed since I got into this class. I have been able to read with a purpose. When it comes reading something such as a scholarly article, I take notes while I read. I have been able to take notes after every paragraph or two, and also have been able to understand the reading a lot more because of this. Before using this reading process, it has been difficult trying to understand the material.
Reading Artifacts and Explanations
upload artifacts that show you using reading strategies (possible artifacts can be pictures or documents that show annotations, summary writing, response writing, or other techniques you have tried to help with reading.) Show at least three documents, including one that shows you reading a scholarly, peer-reviewed article.
Here I am responding to reading a scholarly article. I never read a scholarly article before, and this is my initial reaction to reading one. It was a very different experince and was very different from anything I have read before. I had to find new ways to interpret the text and to take notes on what I had read.
Here I talk about reading peer review articles, the techniques I use when reading, and my reaction to reading one for the first time. I also read this for the first time which gave a unique experience. It being peer reviewed made me realize these sources were very credible. I also talk about how I hardly used reading technique on this assignment, which made me understand that I need to know a bit of context on the subject that I will be reading about.
Here I talk about my first time using Powernotes with the AI feature. I also talk about using it while reading sources and how it benefits my work. Using Powernotes was a different experience. Usually when I write papers I just remember what quotes to use, but with Powernotes it had every piece of evidence I needed saved with a quick highlight. It made my work process way more organized and easier to access.
