Feedback on Mr. Samsul Alam’s Classroom Teaching
Mr. Samsul Alam, Senior Lecturer of MIS, requested me to evaluate of his teaching performance of his classes held on Wednesday 21-Oct-20 & 10:00 AM to 11:20 AM. In response I evaluate course MIS202 - MANAGEMENT INFORAMTION SYSTEMS in online class.
Mr. Alam sent me the power-point lecture slide on “information systems and organizations”, lecture video that he conducted on the above mentioned schedule. The lecture contents cover ‘basic concept of organization, IS impact on organization in economic, behavioral impact, how IT flattens organization, and organizational resistance to change’.
From my review of this particular lecture of Mr. Alam, the following evaluations have been given:
Regarding structure of the lesson, it is found outstanding that means key ideas and many nuances were very clear and revealed in ways that deftly anticipated or ad-dressed students’ questions and interests. The course structure is very well organized.
His style of delivery is active meaning that obviously enthusiastic or engaged by the subject, conveying sufficient personality and interest to keep students alert and attentive. He is a good communicator.
The professional demeanor found in him is outstanding as of role model caliber and seemed to have elevated the professionalism displayed by students. He is highly professional and passionate.
He used appropriate instructional tools (audio/visual aids, chalkboard, handouts, etc.) greatly enhance the lesson and the level of student engagement that is outstanding. He has used almost all instructional tools to make his teaching effective.
In student engagement/participation, it was found that students were energized in classroom. Students obviously feel excited to participate and trust their comments can shape the lesson. Over 66% participated or at least 40% participated repeatedly. He is very successful in engaging students.
Regarding attentiveness to students’ Active learning, students were active. Presented lesson in ways that required students to actively explore the material in greater depth and practice applying it. Clearly attentive to students’ verbal and non‐verbal feedback, and adapts pedagogy in ways that were impressively effective. Student contributions consistently enriched the lesson. He is very effective indeed.
Most importantly, his strengths found are he is very passionate and highly committed. He may devote himself to improve his communication skills to the next level.

Feedback on Mr. Samsul Alam’s Classroom Teaching
Mr. Samsul Alam, Senior Lecturer of MIS, wished to get evaluation of his classroom teaching in one of his classes held on Sunday 11-Oct-20 11:30am – 12:50pm. I responded to his request to evaluate course MIS202 - MANAGEMENT INFORAMTION SYSTEMS for the topic taught (Online).
Mr. Alam sent me the power-point lecture slide on “global e-business and collaboration”, lecture video that he conducted earlier. The lecture contents cover ‘business routine, business process, types of business process, how IS affects business process, enterprise applications.
From my review of this particular lecture of Mr. Alam, the following evaluations have been given:
Regarding structure of the lesson, it is found that Key ideas and many nuances were very clear and revealed in ways that deftly anticipated or ad-dressed students’ questions and interests.
His Style of Delivery is captivating and obviously passionate or fascinated by the subject, exuding personality and interest so effectively that students were visibly captivated or highly engaged.

Most importantly, his strengths found are voice is clear and examples are understandable. Lengthy lecture time is considered as his weakness in this lecture.
