Research Interest: Wireless Sensor Networks, Underwater acoustics and communications, Internet of Things, Application of Machine Learning in Wireless Networks, and Topics covering Computer Networks.

Computer Network Research Group (CNRGTU) was born out of an effort to promote research activities and to bring together people interested in areas of data communications and computer networks. It is a platform for students and faculty members to come together and share their excitement in the area. The group aims at organizing problem solving sessions, technical seminars and lectures.

Our research spans a broad range of topics in data communications and computer networking, including network protocols, wireless sensor networks, mobile communication, wireless networks, underwater sensor network, and underground sensor network. The Computer Network Research Group in the Department of Information Technology at Tripura University is led by Alak Roy, Assistant Professor.
