Alaina began acting with The Wadsworth Footlighters at the age of seven and continued to perform in their children's shows until she aged out ten years later. Alaina believes in embracing not only the craft of acting but also the happiness and joy found in expressing ones self.
Every year, The Footlighters put on a summer production (usually a JR musical) that features up to 50 children ages 6 - 18. Alaina has performed in 10 of these shows, having fun in roles like Marlin (Finding Nemo JR,) Willy Wonka (Willy Wonka JR,) Kaa (The Jungle Book KIDS), as well as many ensemble parts.
The Wadsworth Footlighters gave Alaina a safe space to create theatre for the pure joy of creating theatre. She found support and positivity with them, and as she grew into a leadership role, she was able to provide that same support to the younger actors and actresses.
Alaina received four years of theatre education from Akron School for the Arts, a by audition program, located within Firestone CLC. During this time she took classes that included Acting 1, Scenic Design, Bussiness of Theatre Arts and Communications, and Theatre Capstone.
