From my experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, and Bing Image AI, I believe that AI is a very useful support tool in architecture and design. It helps me learn faster, explore new ideas, and visualise concepts more easily, especially in topics like sustainable tropical architecture.
However, I also think AI should not be fully relied on. While it is strong in generating information and visuals, it does not fully understand human needs, cultural context, or emotional aspects of design. These are important in architecture, especially when creating meaningful and liveable spaces.
Therefore, my position is that AI should be used as a supportive tool, not a replacement for human creativity. It is most effective when combined with critical thinking, design skills, and personal judgement.
