Cargo

Sadly Humberside Airport doesn't have any regular cargo flights at the present time, and hasn't since Spring 2012. Ad-hoc cargo flights do still operate at Humberside however.

Anglia Cargo International

Anglia Cargo International Ltd offer cargo handling services at Humberside Airport, including operation of the on-site perishables cargo terminal. This facility was built in 2008, and officially opened by Rosie Winterton MP, then minister for Yorkshire and the Humber, on 10th November that year. It is owned by North Lincolnshire Council and received funding towards the £1.6 million cost from the European Union and Yorkshire Forward. The original intention was to handle the Icelandair Cargo operated fish flights, but these days is usually used only to service roadfreight.

Anglia Cargo's origins go back to 1972 when they were the cargo department of Air Anglia, based at Norwich Airport.

A Historical Note - Icelandair Cargo

Between February 2003 and Spring 2012, Icelandair Cargo operated a regular cargo service from Keflavik, transporting Icelandic caught fish for processing in the Humber area. It initially operated twice weekly before increasing in frequency and then reducing to Sunday's only in Spring 2008, with weekday flights transferred to East Midlands. Flights usually continued from Humberside onto Liege before returning to Iceland. As well as their own B757-200F's, Icelandair also used Bluebird Cargo B737F's and Aviapaslauga (a Lithuanian Airline) Tu-204C's during their nine years serving Humberside.
