Critical Accessions Degree (CAD) – Depends on the needs of the Air Force Age cutoff: 37 or 38

Age Note: Applicants cannot be beyond their 33rd birthdate as of the projected board release date for the board an applicant is applying to. Applicants not able to meet Pilot, CSO, and ABM rated age requirement may apply for a HAF/A1 ETP under provisions in AFI 36-2105, apply for Flying Training, Air Battle Manager, and Astronaut Programs prior to meeting the board. (Refer to paragraph 6.1.1 and Attachment 4 for further guidance.) RPA applicants, if selected must attend and graduate OTS (commission) prior to their 40th birthday. An age ETP for RPA is not authorized.
