Primarily responsible for dispensing prescribed medications and helping patients understand proper usage and side effects, Pharmacists are an integral part of patient care. These medication experts help maximize positive health outcomes and improve the quality of their patients lives through patient counseling and careful quality control.

Age: Projected actual age on date of completion of sponsored program is less than 39.

Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

Degree Note: Must attend an accredited school of pharmacy recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education or achieved foreign pharmacy graduate equivalency certification.

State License: Must obtain a license within one year of their graduation.

Start Process: January-July

Board Date: Late October

Estimated Board Release: Early November

COT Date: After 1st year of pharmacy school or second year, it depends on availability. Sometimes can be referred for after graduation.

Rank/Grade: Second Lieutenant/O-1

Fully Qualified

Age: Actual age on EAD is less than 42.

Degree: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy

Degree Note: Accredited school of pharmacy recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education or achieved foreign pharmacy graduate equivalency certification. State License: Must be licensed pharmacist prior to entering active duty in the Air Force GPA: Not specified

Start Process: January-July

Board Date: Late October

Estimated Board Release: Early November

COT Date: January through August and no later than October 1st
