Delayed Enlistment Program

DEP Brief:

The Delayed Enlistment Program (DEP) is comprised of everyone who is qualified for the Air Force and waiting to book a job or has booked a job and is waiting for their ship date to Basic Military Training (BMT). You will now have a list of jobs that you qualify for based on your ASVAB and Physical results. We will complete your DEP briefing and give you some time to review the jobs you are qualified for so you can make an educated decision. We are available for any questions you have and to discuss realistic options. We will discuss and compile a list of at least 9 specific jobs that you would like to request. You will never be forced into anything that you are not qualified for or requesting. During the job counseling appointment we will discuss the needs of the Air Force and the show you how the job selection process happens. Being open to what the Air Force is currently hiring for is paramount to being selected to become an Airman in the United States Air Force!

DEP Calls:

Once a month we will meet with all the other DEP members and discuss the Air Force. You will learn what it means to be an Airman. We strive to teach you about Basic Training so you are fully prepared when you arrive at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. We cover aspects such as rank structure, Airman's Creed, Air Force Core Values, and much more. This is an exciting time in your life and we want you to be set up for success!
