Acceleration is a program model that is popular among gifted programs in North Carolina. There are numerous ways that students can be accelerated. Here is a project I completed in my GIFT 4100 course with Dr. Novak at East Carolina University. However, these three things are not parts of a house but rather ideas within education that focus on multicultural literacy. This TedTalk by Grace Lin also discusses windows and mirrors in children's literature and how crucial it is for these aspects to appear in children's books.
