Molex Internship

This past summer, I had the opportunity to work in a real-world supply chain environment through my internship with Molex. While working, my day-to-day involved compiling reports, utilizing AI in a safe and efficient manner, and communicating with my peers.

          To add to my usual daily work, I was tasked with a summer-long project where I had to make training materials for the implementation of a new AI model. To come up with sufficient material, I first had to commit myself to extensive research on what this new model is capable of and the general audience intended to use it. I then had various check-ins with my supervisor, making sure that my work satisfies the needs of the company. By the end of the project, I had published videos and examples that went over how and when to use the AI while emphasizing internal security. At the end of the summer, I presented my work to upper management, as well as any feedback I had for them to make the internship even better for future candidates.

          This experience shaped my definition of a Global Citizen Scholar because it gave me a feel for what one looks like in the professional world. A Global Citizen Scholar is not an employee who simply goes through the motions, but rather uses everyday as an opportunity to improve on something, whether that be their own work or a company process.
