AI COMPASS
Where artificial intelligence becomes a practical school tool, not an additional burden.
AI Compass Academy is an Erasmus+ initiative that supports teachers and school leaders in using AI in a safe, clear, and practical way in everyday school work. The focus is on reducing administrative workload (lesson planning, assessment, record-keeping, communication), allowing teachers to dedicate more time to learning, working with students, and improving the quality of teaching.
Through joint activities, training sessions, and collaborative outputs, the project seeks to empower educators to integrate AI responsibly into the learning process, ensuring that technology serves as a meaningful aid rather than a substitute for human interaction.
The project is implemented by an international consortium of partners:

Slovenia – Smart Institute
Türkiye – MEB Teftiş Kurulu Başkanlığı
Together, these institutions are committed to building a strong foundation for digital transformation in schools, promoting cooperation across countries, and shaping a future where artificial intelligence supports inclusive and high-quality education.

The main aim of the project is to introduce AI solutions that significantly reduce the most common administrative tasks faced by teachers, through a clear methodology, practical guidelines, and tools available on the AI Compass Academy platform.
Target Group
Target Group
Direct target group: teachers (with the support of school leaders and administrative staff).
Teachers are provided with tools and guidance for tasks such as lesson planning, assessment, record-keeping, and communication with parents.
Results
Results
The project develops a set of concrete results that remain in use even after the project’s completion:
Teacher Handbook – clear guidelines and examples for using AI in school-related tasks (reporting, assessment, communication with parents).
AI Toolbox (Toolkit) – practical tools and solutions adapted to the local contexts of the partner countries.
AI Compass Academy platform (e-Environment) – access to all materials, resources, and training, functioning as an “AI Digital Mentor” for teachers.
