Is this the first AI-generated documentary?
This video about the the cultural impacts of generative AI was made largely by AI. The video might be hard to understand but the concept of an AI-generated video about the impact of generative AI is intriguing.

The workflow was:
1. Generate script in ChatGPT.
2. Generate images via Midjourney.
3. Animate images with Stable Video Diffusion.
4. Generate voiceover with ElevenLabs.
5. Generate background music with Suno.
6. Edit in InShot on my phone.

Before you get the idea that this is a click-a-button-and-it’s-done-for-you situation…
The entire thing cost $12 of compute time to run the video model on Replicate. It took four hours of render time to produce 140 video clips from the Midjourney images. In total, this was probably six hours of work. Some of that was learning how to maximize the strengths and mitigate the weaknesses of the video model.
If you want to use A.I. well, you need to put in the work. There are no shortcuts.
But this is hands down the best results I’ve seen from A.I. generated video, and as Jason Moore says, “This is the worst it’s ever going to be.”
