Meeting Jesus

Some Greeks who had come to Jerusalem for the Passover celebration paid a visit to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee. They said, “Sir, we want to meet Jesus.”

John 12:20-21 NLT

There are many people in the world who know about Jesus. Some of them

even know His Word ,go to church ,sing songs about Him,but have never MET HIM

personally.

🗝Knowing about someone and knowing someone are two different things.

It makes me think of biographers- people who study and write about someone they

have never met. Many Christians today are like that - they study the life and teachings of Jesus without ever meeting Him.

Years ago I met a well known actor ,I knew him from movies ,I knew his face,the sound of his voice ...And then we met ,in person ,we got to know each other and even performed together on several occasions.

You have to meet Jesus ,personally.

But just meeting someone once is not enough. I have lost contact with my actor friend,he left Canada and I never met him again.

Maybe you have met Jesus before,maybe you have lost contact with Him?

I encourage you to run to Him, He is waiting for you .

We have to meet with Jesus daily :

📍Fellowshipping with other Christians

Something beautiful happens when we come together.

”For where two or three gather together as my followers,[a] I am there among them.”

Matthew 18:20 NLT

We gather to meet Jesus ,not just to learn about Him, not just to sing about Him,but

to MEET HIM, Hallelujah!

We are commended in the Bible:

”And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”

Hebrews 10:25 NLT

These words are prophetic. God is telling us that the closer we get to the end

the more we will need one another. We are strong together.
